Put the demon back in the box... By Sania

17 December, 2013

The menace of sectarian violence is out in full force across the land. Ever since the incident in Rawalpindi on the 10th of Moharram, we are seeing a spate of sectarian related attacks in almost all provinces. On Sunday, a Shia religious leader was killed in Lahore in what is no doubt a sectarian targeted killing. Things are about to get way out of hand and more violence looms on the horizon.

The government must take solid, concrete steps to put the demon back in the box. History has taught us one thing, and that is how quickly sectarian related vitriol and bloodied attacks can get very nasty very fast.
