Public sector entities... By Yawar

The new government has taken about seven months to appoint heads of public sector companies. The selection process is so flawed that corrupt individuals and those under investigation by agencies are also among the ones that are hopeful.
To further complicate the matter, the upper age limit was removed. Reports reveal that it was done to please the mighty and the influential. This information was confirmed from multiple sources. There is absolutely no screening going on while further delays in the process allow maximum time to the looters appointed by the previous regimes to carry on plundering. Examples include gas and oil companies. Rumours are circulating that a one year period was agreed upon for transition to new company heads.
This is a unique standard of governance whereby the government keeps mum on massive corruption being investigated and yet keeping the corrupt heads and allowing them to participate in a fresh selection process. Would there ever be honesty, rule of law, justice, true governance, equality and trust in our country?
