Prime minister visits IB Headquarters

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Friday visited Intelligence Bureau Headquarters here, said a press release.
During the visit, he was briefed on the issues of national and external security in detail.
The prime minister approved different proposals and recommendations to build the capacity of the organization through better human resource intake and procurement of state-of-the-art equipment.
The premier also exempted the Intelligence Bureau from ban on recruitment keeping in view the sensitive nature of its job and urgency of current security situation.
He was also briefed on counter terrorism initiatives and activities of the organization.
Ministers for Interior, Finance and Information and Broadcasting also attended the briefing.
