Prices have increased four times since my tenure: Musharraf

ISLAMABAD - Former president and All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Chairman Pervez Musharraf has said that while the rulers are getting rich, the poor are suffering from inflation and pointed out that the prices have increased by four times since his tenure. He said that there are efficient and honest people in Pakistan but we need a good government and an honest leadership for which the people must exercise their vote judiciously and after a great deal of thinking.
He was addressing members of youth wing from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the Central Secretariat of the party here on Thursday 22,January,105. He said while there was already scarcity of water, electricity and gas, now petrol has also gone out of filling stations. He further said the government has failed miserably as every commodity has gone out of market and people are being plundered by the hoarders and black marketers.
He accused the former Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and present Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) governments of destroying every institutions of Pakistan. He said that the bad governance has reached to such an extent that despite all resources, artificial shortages are being created to gain personal advantages.
He expressed his heart felt condolences with the office bearers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the Army Public School tragedy in Peshawar and said the terrorism could only be defeated by extending full support to army and military courts. He said that those who are spreading speculations against armed forces and military courts are enemies of Pakistan and should be exposed.
