President directs interior ministry to ensure security of foreigners

ISLAMABAD: President General Pervez Musharraf has directed Interior Ministry to ensure security of Chinese and Foreigners living in different areas of the country.
The direction comes following kidnapping of Chinese women by students of Jamia Hafsa from massage centre at F-8 markaz some days back.
The Interior ministry received a letter from the office of Presidency directing them to increase security of Chinese and other foreigners working in all over Pakistan, well Placed sources in the Interior Ministry told Online on Sunday.
Interior Ministry has also been instructed to increase quantity of Personnel of Police and other departments deployed for the security of foreigners, sources added. The President has assured Chinese Government about the protection of Chinese working in Pakistan.
President General Pervez Musharraf has also warned Jamia Hafsa to avoid such type of action in the future otherwise strict action would be taken against them. Following the directives, security has been beefed up around the Chinese and foreigners.
