10 January, 2012

DUBAI: President Asif Ali Zardari will arrive here on two-day private visit tomorrow (Wednesday). Well-placed sources in Pakistan told that President would be here for medical checkup and would stay here for two days (January 11- 12).

Sources further disclosed that an important leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) would also call on President during his stay here.

Sources added that on his arrival President Asif Ali Zardari would be admitted to American Hospital Dubai for medical check-up and process of checkup could take two days time.

Sources also informed that an appointment from doctors of American Hospital of Dubai has also been fixed. President Zardari is known to have already been hospitalized here during his earlier treatment.

However, Central Information Secretary of the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Qamar Zaman Kaira turned rejected reports about the visit of the President.

It is pertinent to note that President Asif Ali Zardari also went to the Emirati state to visit his children and undergo some medical tests. He was accompanied by his physicians and limited personal staff.

He received medical treatment in previously diagnosed cardiovascular condition from the above mentioned hospital last month. According to the President's personal physician, Col Salman, the proposed medical tests were of routine nature and are linked to a previously diagnosed cardiovascular condition.

President's spokesperson, Farhatullah Babar, also then contradicted media reports saying that the President did not visit any hospital on Tuesday for tests or treatment.

End.
