President Zardari enjoys complete immunity: Aitzaz
18 January, 2012
ISLAMABAD: Senior member of the PPP Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan said that President Asif Ali Zardari enjoyed immunity under article 248 of the constitution, our sources reported. He was talking to media here on Wednesday.
Aitzaz Ahsan said that there was no harm in writing a letter to Swiss authorities as President Asif Ali Zardari enjoyed immunity under article 248.
Answering a question regarding former president Pervaiz Musharraf's immunity, Ahsan said that he did not have immunity as there was a civil suit against him while President Zardari faced criminal cases in which he enjoyed complete immunity until he was holding the president office.
Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan would be defending Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani before the Supreme Court on Thursday in the contempt of court case.
Aitzaz Ahsan along with other senior PPP members would accompany Prime Minister Gilani to the Supreme Court when he appears on Jan 19 to reply in person to the contempt of court notice, sources informed.
End.

REJOICE! |
LET US REJOICE! How lucky we Pakistanis are to have a CRIMINAL for president! And, wonder of wonders, no legal action can be taken against him. BRILLIANT! ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!
But wait a minute. Granted that the state, where power is weilded by the AIK HI THAILE KE CHATTE BHATTE group, is paralysed. Granted that the state cannot deliver justice to its citizens and is utterly bankrupt of any maral notions or any sense of resposibility, but the victims are there and their inviolable right under the LAW OF EQUITY to get justice by all possible means OVERRIDES statute. And there is that other which is universal and does not need the Ahsans, Awans, Jhangirs and others of their profession for interpretation. It is PEOPLE'S RIGHT to stop the plunder of their rights as indiviuals and as a group.
Given that the PLUNDER PAKISTAN PARTY believes it to be its divine or devilish right and duty to drive the simple people of Pakistan into hell, they should remember that if ZAB with his infinitely unencumbered powers of dictatorship could not succeed in doing that, they are rookies compared to him.
So it is the choice of the BLINDEDS BY GREED. They have to choose what they want: REAL JUSTICE or CIVIL WAR!
And in a civil war there are NO PRIVILEGES! It destroys ALL! WITHOUT EXCEPTION!

Head Servant |
The title of "PRESIDENT", should be changed to " Country Head of Public Servants", that may clear all doubts that no one under any circumstances is above the law. President enjoys immunity is probably a Joke that cant be swallowed. At first how did the most currpt man in Pakistan qaulified as a President? are there no character requuirements for becoming President? this constitution needs heavy ammendments so that no one can be given immunity because if that is the case than every citizen should be given some kind of immunity since they select the parliament and Presidency. Complete Rubbish.
