Policeman kills four colleagues

KANDAHAR: An Afghan policeman shot dead four of his colleagues and wounded three more with the support of Taliban in Tarinkot, capital of Uruzgan province, last night, police said Thursday, the second attack by police on their colleagues this week. The cop identified as Hayat Khan had links with Taliban and killed the guard with the help of Taliban at Spelandai post, limits of provincial capital, last night, before opening fire on other policemen, Fari Aail, spokesman for Uruzgan police, told Afghan Islamic Press (AIP). He said four cops were killed and three wounded in the attack, adding Taliban also seized seven Ak-47 rifles of police, adding Taliban infiltrator, Hayat Khan, also escaped with Taliban. The police spokesman, however, said police detained a suspected Taliban and was being interrogated. On Dec. 24, An Afghan police officer shot dead five of his colleagues in northern Jowzjan province and joined Taliban. End.
