Petrol price likely to go down by Rs 6

ISLAMABAD: In line with decrease in the international oil market, the government is all set to decrease the petroleum prices by Rs 6 per litre from the first week of October.
Sources said that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had sent a summary to the petroleum and finance ministries and recommended to reduce the prices of petroleum products by Rs 6 per litre.
They said that OGRA recommended to decrease the price of high speed Diesel (HSD) by 40 paisas, light diesel oil (LDO) by 14 paisas while prices of kerosene oil to decrease by 40 paisas. To maintain the 60 percent parity between price of petrol and CNG the authority has asked to reduce the price of CNG by Rs 5.70 per kg.
After this reduction, new prices of petroleum products will be; petrol Rs 102.45 against 108.45 current price, HSD Rs 113.16 per litre, LDO Rs 96.22 per litre and kerosene oil would be Rs 101.23 per litre.
