Petrol, CNG prices down; diesel up

ISLAMABAD: The government on Sunday approved hike in the prices of all petroleum products, except that of petrol, under the weekly revision. The per kilogramme price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) also slipped by up to Rs 2, as its price is correlated with that of petrol. According to the summary sent by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of per litre petrol would be reduced by Rs 2.09, while the per litre price of diesel has been raised by Rs 3.16. The price of kerosene oil has been increased by Rs 1.92 and that of light diesel by Rs 1.23 per litre. The per kilogramme price of CNG was decreased by Rs 1.92 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Potohar and Balochistan (Zone-I), whereas the prices for Punjab and Sindh (Zone-II) were reduced by Rs 1.74/kg. This change in prices for the current week took effective from midnight. Following the revision in prices from today (Monday), petrol will be available at the new price of Rs 103.40 per litre, diesel at Rs 113.62 per litre, kerosene oil at Rs 103.87 per litre and light diesel at Rs 97.93 per litre.
