Peshawar: Three killed as terrorists target tribal elder

PESHAWAR: A car bomb attack targeting a tribal elder killed three people in Peshawar on Friday, said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Information Minister Iftikhar Hussain. He said the house of the tribal elder was also destroyed in the attack in the Achini Payan area near Peshawar. KP Senior Minister Bashir Bilour said the bomber targeted Aastana Gul but he survived the attack. Around 40 kilogrammes of explosives were used, he added. Police said four people were also injured, adding that they had been rushed to hospital. Iftikhar Hussain said Aastana Gul was targeted after he had parted ways with a banned terrorist organisation.
