Pervez Rasheed asks Imran to represent Taliban in talks

ISLAMABAD: Federal information minister Pervez Rasheed Monday advised Imran Khan to advocate Taliban's case saying that PTI leader had been fighting for Taliban.

"Time has come for Imran Khan to come forward and represent Taliban in dialogue process with government as he had been fighting for them", Rasheed said while interacting with media persons here.

The minister said the government is optimistic for better outcome of dialogue process with Taliban added that government is committed to take every possible step to restore peace in the country.

He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif himself is monitoring peace process from first day.

Pervez Rasheed said neither the government nor Taliban have set any conditions for the talks.

The senator said government is focusing on Taliban groups which are interested in peace and dialogue process adding that Taliban have formed their committee to represent all group.

On query about mass grave discovery in Kuzdar, the minister said Balochistan government has already ordered judicial inquiry.
