LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said Ch Pervaiz Elahi did nothing but corruption during his tenure. He said the former chief minister is surprised and worried over the public welfare projects initiated by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Sana said corruption worth billions of rupees was done in the incomplete projects like Ring Road and Kasur Road. He claimed Pervaiz made only two “achievements” in his tenure which concluded a palatial office in GOR and a dacoity of Rs 50 billion in Bank of Punjab.

Instead, Shahbaz has not only completed the incomplete projects but also spent government resources on the welfare projects, he concluded. Meanwhile, Punjab government spokesman Senator Pervez Rasheed said Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chariman Imran Khan is targeting PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif at the behest of President Asif Zardari.

Reacting to Imran’s press conference, Rasheed challenged Imran to contest election from Nawabshah and Larkana against Asif Zardari. He said in next general election, PML-N would defeat Imran, giving him the honour of hat-trick in his defeats.

End.
