Penumbral moon eclipse on Tuesday-Wednesday night

KARACHI, March 14 (Online): The penumbral eclipse of moon would occur during Tuesday-Wednesday night, said Director Pakistan Meteorological Department Karachi Malik Sallahuddin on Monday.
Penumbral moon eclipse will begin at 02:22 PST, the greatest eclipse would occur at 04: 48 PST and it would end at 07:14 PST on Wednesday morning. However, the penumbral moon eclipse will be best visible only in Africa and Europe.
"Penumbral eclipse of moon is different from common umbral eclipse of moon because in this type of eclipse the moon is not covered by the real shadow of the earth during the eclipse," he observed. Penumbral moon eclipse was very difficult to observe during the early and late stages.
