Pending Kashmir dispute threat to peace: Naqash

12 January, 2013

SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader and the Chairman of Islamic Political Party Jammu and Kashmir, Mohammad Yousuf Naqash has said that the pending Kashmir dispute is a threat to peace of world, in general, and South Asia, in particular.

Mohammad Yousuf Naqash addressing a Juma congregation at Noor Bagh in Srinagar said that resolution of Kashmir in accordance with the aspirations of its people was essential for peace and stability in Pakistan and India.

He urged India to give up its rigid and unrealistic stance towards Kashmir dispute and come to the table so that the dispute could be settled, once and for all. He said that Pakistan and India had fought several wars over the dispute and its amicable settlement could bring progress and prosperity in both the neighbour countries.

Naqash said despite continued brutal oppression of Indian forces in the occupied territory, the people of Kashmiri are determined to take the ongoing liberation movement to its logical conclusion.
