Peace negotiations and war... By Umer

Several conflicts in present world prove that wars provide nothing except deaths, destructions, hate and economic destructions. Instead of war negotiations are best way to solve all problems. Only three months ago Colombian government has signed a peace agreement with the FARC rebels to start a peace process to end the 60 years old armed conflict which cost lives of thousands of innocent people. Now according to media news Philippines government and Moro Islamic Liberation Front has agreed on peace plan after 40 years of bloodshed which took lives of several thousand people. The agreement was reached after several rounds of talks between Philippine government and MILF. Philippines President Aquino and Moro Islamic Liberation Front leader Murad Ebrahim also held a meetings in Japan. During negotiations Moro Islamic Liberation Front leader urged the Philippine government to halt a military offensive in rebels hold areas. The Moro National Liberation Front is formed in 1960 and group was struggling in country south Mindanao province for separate state. Philippines army launched several major offensive in MILF storing hold and killed several key leaders. Several thousand people also lost their lives in militants revenge attacks and life of ordinary people badly affected in the region. After peace agreement in his speech President Aquino hope that both sides would abide by recent peace agreement and dream of peace will come true in south of country.
