17 January, 2014

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch said on Thursday that Pat Feeder Canal is an essential project of the province, and said that his government would not allow corruption in any government departments.

He expressed these views at a briefing by Irrigation Department.

Irrigation Department authorities informed the chief minister about performance of the department, difficulties it was facing and implementation of ongoing projects. The chief minister ordered early completion of projects and stressed that the standard and qualitative work should be carried out on these projects.

He said that in the wake of floods last year, Rs 30 million were provided for the repair of machinery, adding that steps would be taken to boost storing capacity of Pat Feeder Canal.

End.
