Pakistan wants durable peace in Afghanistan: Zardari

ASHKABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed Pakistan's strong resolve for everlasting peace in Afghanistan.

Talking to Afghan President Hamid Ali Karzai in Ashkabad, which Zardari is currently touring, he expressed strong resolve of Pakistan to ensure Afghan participation in order to ensure this process of reconciliation.

President Zardari also expressed Pakistan's strong desire for trade with Central Asian states via Afghanistan, while also expressing his desire for high-level diplomatic talks in this regard.

He also said that Afghanistan's peace and harmony were deeply linked with that of regional peace and harmony.
