Pak forces kill 12 militants in Orakzai Agency

Upper Orakzai: At last 12 militants were killed and several others injured during operation of Pakistani security forces in different areas Orakzai Agency of the tribal area, officials said on Thursday. The officials said that the security forces carried out operation in Gundamela area and took control of the key citadel of the militants. On the other hand, the forces conducted search operation in Nadarmela area after a landmine blast that killed one soldier and injured three others including an officer. "Seven militants were killed and several others injured in the operation after the blast," sources said. Orakzai Agency is the only northwestern tribal agency of Pakistan which does not borders Afghanistan. Earlier on Wednesday, the security forces killed at least eight militants during an operation of Mamoonzai area of the agency. End.
