Pak-US ties to be further strengthened: FM Hina

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar has expressed optimism that Pakistan-US relations would be further strengthened on the basis of mutual respect and common interests. She expressed these views while talking to US Ambassador Richard Olson who called on Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar and discussed overall bilateral ties and regional situation in Islamabad. According to media reports, during the meeting‚ they discussed progress made under the strategic dialogue process in various spheres of cooperation. The Foreign Minister has expressed optimism that Pakistan-US relations would be further strengthened on the basis of mutual respect and common interests. She expressed satisfaction on the current trajectory of the relations between Pakistan and the United States and hoped that these multifaceted relations would be further strengthened and deepened on the basis of mutual respect and common interest. They also discussed the situation in Afghanistan and howPakistan and the US could cooperate in bringing peace and stability in that country. End.
