KARACHI:On Saturday, Pakistan’s desire for peace does not imply weakness and the country is fully capable of effective response to aggression, stated Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi.

He was the chief guest of the ceremony where he was addressing the 109th passing-out parade of Pakistan Navy Midshipmen at the Naval Academy.

The naval chief reiterated, Pakistan Navy is ready to give security to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and Gwadar Port.

Pakistan is committed to peace and prosperity in the region, he further stated.

The chief of Bahrain Coast Guard and Royal Bahrain Naval Force Commodore Mohammed Yousif Al Asam were also in attendance.43 officers from friendly countries: Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Qatar, were also among the pass-outs including .
