PTI plea for re-polling in NA-256 rejected

26 January, 2014

KARACHI: The Election Tribunal has rejected a PTI petition challenging the victory of MQM in NA-256 Karachi and demanding re-polling in the constituency.

The PTI's Zubair Khan had challenged victory of MQM's Iqbal Muhammad Ali after a NADRA report claimed that thousands of votes could not be verified in the constituency.

The Election Tribunal on Saturday gave its verdict, rejecting the PTI leader's appeal for a re-poll in the constituency.

Talking to the media, Zubair Khan said he would challenge Election Tribunal's verdict in the Supreme Court.

End.
