'PTI not to take part in Qadri's long march'

KARACHI: General Secretary Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Dr Arif Alvi said on Friday that PTI would not be a part of long march of Dr Tahir ul Qadri.

"We do not have any idea about real objectives of Qadri's long march as yet," Alvi said while talking to our sources. He further said that to ensure free and fair elections, courts and election commission was present while PTI strongly believed in democracy and judiciary.

Earlier during a press conference at Karachi Press Club, social media team of PTI announced its code of conduct for the online media. Talking about PTI's ideology, social media team member Imran Ghazali said that PTI was dedicated to bringing about a positive and constructive change in Pakistan.

Ghazali further said the social media code of conduct cover all social media platforms including, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Insaf.pk, blogs, forums and other websites where PTI was being actively discussed. Another member Arsalan Ghumman gave details about PTI's core values and said it was the responsibility of all members to believe in our core values.

Ghumman further stressed that this Code of Conduct was for PTI supporters and members who interact in the social media. Dr. Awab Alvi said in this digital era it was impossible for a political party to technologically stop or prohibit people from making abusive or derogatory remarks in the social mediums.
