ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Member National Assembly (MNA) Ramesh Lal has condemned Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali for "wrongly" accusing the people of Larkana of stealing power.

Addressing a press conference, Ramesh Lal asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to stop his minister from accusing members of parliament from Larkana, especially Frayal Talpur, of stealing power.

Lal said that he would submit a privilege motion in the National Assembly against Abid Sher Ali in this regard.

He said that PPP workers and residents of Larkana are among "the most law-abiding citizens in the country".

"It is wrong to blame a public representative for a crime he or she has not committed.

If someone is involved in power theft in any part of the country, he should be punished but painting a whole constituency with the same brush is wrong and unethical."

Lal said that Abid Sher Ali is fanning provincial hatred among the people of different provinces and he should be stopped immediately from doing so.

End.
