ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Protection Ordinance (PPO) has been challenged in the Supreme Court (SC).

Tariq Asad and Lt Col (r) Inamul Rahim on Monday filed a petition under Article 184(3) and stated that PPO is in violation of articles 2A, 4, 9, 10, 10A, 14 and 25. The federal government, interior secretary and principal secretary to the president have been made respondents.

The petitioners said that the PPO should be declared against the law and constitution.
