PML-N candidate against Gilani's son joins PPP

06 July, 2012

MULTAN: Political activities for the National Assembly seat of NA-151, which fell vacant after the Supreme Court disqualified former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, are on peak.

A big blow to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was dealt when its candidate for the same constituency, Ishaq Bucha, rejoined his old party, Pakistan People's Party (PPP), on Thursday.

Bucha withdrew himself in support of Abdul Qadir Gilani, son of the former PM, who was contesting for the NA seat, after meeting with the former prime minister.

Gilani congratulated Bucha for rejoining his old party, whereas after this breakthrough, PPP candidate Abdul Qadir Gilani is being declared a favourite to win the seat.

End.
