PM richest and Dasti the poorest parliamentarian

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released the wealth details of the country's lawmakers for the last year, which reveal that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is the richest while Jamshed Dasti is the poorest parliamentarian. The wealth details of leader of opposition in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah show an increase of Rs 6.7 million. According to details released by the ECP, the total value of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's assets exceeds Rs 2.10 billion and during one year an increase of Rs 280 million was reported in his assets worth. Khurshid Shah's total assets are worth more than Rs 40.27 million. During 2013, Khurshid Shah's asset worth was recorded at Rs 30.6 million. Imran Khan's assets amount to Rs 30.27 million. In 2013, Imran's total asset amount was worth Rs 20.96 million and there had been an increase of over Rs10 million in Khan's assets.
ECP has declared the assets of chief of Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazalur Rehman worth Rs 6.7 million. Fazal had assets worth Rs 4 million in 2013. Over a year, Fazal's assets increased by Rs 2.7 million. He has no vehicle, two houses in DI Khan and a five canal plot. He has Rs 1 million in his bank account and furniture worth Rs 60,000 Jamshed Dasti did not show anything, while Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has assets worth Rs 30.91 million. Last year Rasheed's asset were worth Rs 30.70 million. Farooq Sattar owned assets worth Rs 2.9 million.
Last year his assets worth Rs. 3.6 million. Ghulam Ahmed Bilour owned assets amount worth 3.75 million, while Aftab Sherpao's assets amount worth was Rs 130.65 million. Mahmood Khan Achakzai has furniture worth six lac rupees, 30 tolas gold and two bulletproof vehicles. Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif tops among all the four provinces chief ministers in richest lawmakers. His assets worth Rs 550 million, in which personal assets worth Rs 260 are on the name of his first wife Nusrat Shahbaz, while one crore rupees worth amount assets are on the name of his second wife Tehmina Shahbaz. KPK CM Pervez Khattak owns assets worth 27 crore 50 lakh rupees, whereas Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah's assets amount to Rs 2 crore. Balochistan CM Abdul Malik Baloch owns assets worth Rs 6 crore 66 lakhs.
