ISLAMABAD: As the sword hangs over the government for not implementing the orders of the superior judiciary over the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO), Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Tuesday dubbed the NRO as a normal thing, saying that such ordinances had been the order of the day in the past.

"The NRO is in the thick of discussions these days, but NROs have been the order of the day in the past, which were named as plea bargains.

Going abroad under a deal was also an NRO," Gilani stated in an apparent reference to Nawaz's deal with former President Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf, which was made public by Interior Minister Rahman Malik on Tuesday.

In essence, there is no difference between both, except that we are victimised while others are rewarded, Gilani said while speaking to PPP members of the national and provincial assemblies, and office-holders of Peoples Students Federation (PSF) and People Youth Organisation (PYO) from Sargodha Division.

According to a PM House spokesperson, the prime minister regretted that all dictators had been portrayed as innocent, while all politicians were considered corrupt.

"We recently approved the introduction of a clause in the current law, under which it would be mandatory for government employees to declare their assets as public document," he said.

PM Gilani said that the media had reported Musharraf's assets worth billions of rupees, but no action would be taken against him for this. He revealed that some 'angels' would come to him in jail and invite him and members of the PPP to join the fold of Musharraf.

"These angels have promised power in return for trading conscience. But we never considered any back-door entry to power, nor did we commit any disloyalty," he said.

Meanwhile, Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader Babar Awan said on Tuesday that the people of Pakistan had made Yousaf Raza Gilani prime minister and "they can decide about his eligibility".

"All the four (provincial) assemblies have also elected Asif Ali Zardari as president," Babar told reporters outside the Supreme Court.

The PPP leader also asked PML-N President Nawaz Sharif to move the Supreme Court against former president Pervez Musharaf in line with Article 6 of the constitution.

Babar also made a reference to the Agartala conspiracy case in the backdrop of the Supreme Court's order regarding non-implementation of its December 16, 2009, judgement on NRO.

He said he had talked about the Agartala case on December 1, 2011, and once again "I do not know why I am remembering the East Pakistan tragedy and the people who had constituted the tribunal in Agartala case".

The Agartala case was a sedition case in Pakistan, brought forward by the Government of Pakistan against Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the leader of the Awami League and East Pakistan, and 34 other persons. Babar also referred to Article 187 (2) of the constitution, in which jurisdiction of the Supreme Court was defined.

End.

Changing tunes, tones and talks with each breath

Looks like big tamasha out there. May be he is too naive to understand that the most important institutions and Pak nation may be getting hurt through his not so good tamasha of momentary change and re-arrange of thoughts and views and un-justified blames and then rapid retreats.

Then there is talks of NRO as normal. Of course NRO is normal and good for all. May be it is more good for some who really need it for their correction reasons. That makes one fancy about the story of a mentally sick person moved to the lunatic asylm. There he is flashed with and read out the procedures metted out to the people brought in there or belonging to that place destined for sick in the head reasons. The most outshining, outstanding and most outspoken for his distinct craziness instantly speaks his hyper excited brain by sayig and speaking his core in question wisdom as such:

'Oh, all that (NRO ) sounds and looks very normal to him." Good that he is blessed with the correction tool as such."

We can only hope and pray that this stays as mere tamasha only by ignoring the unpredictable and variegated character or characters that have been elevated to country's importance. They may not be unforgivable for some reasons that the thorns have some pretty roses like the FM Hina.

BUT NOTHING CAN MARGINALIZE(FROM THE BOTTOM OF PAK HEARTS) THE FACT THAT OUR DARLING ARMY AND ISI AND THE JUDICIARY ARE LOVED MORE SO THAN EVER BEFORE.THEY ARE THE UN-SHAKABLE PILLARS OF PAK STRENGTH, SURVIVAL AND STABILITY AND ONLY FOOLS AND SICK IN THE HEAD CAN THINK OTHER WAYS.

The nation does respect and honour Pak military, Pak ISI and the judiciary. Them people are keeping their heads for the betterment of Pak nation sake.Best is to ignore the fools as every one within and outside the country have spotted and recognized them from their very worthless tamasha acts and tamasha talks.
