PM Gilani undeterred by earthquake jolt during his speech
27 July, 2009
ISLAMABAD: PM Yousuf Raza Gillani remained steadfastly undeterred, when a jolt of earthquake, measuring 5.2 on Richter scale struck the federal cabinet meeting at 1224 hrs, today Monday.
One of the cabinet member requested the PM to relocate to a safer place, which the PM declined with grace and continued.
His confidence boosted the morale of Cabinet members, who stoically sat through the rest of the speech with ease.
It is pertinent to note that during the Mariot blast a year ago, PM, President and chiefs of Army were attending a reception, whence all had remained totally unperturbed.
