PM Ashraf orders inquiry into sheep import

KARACHI: Pakistan authorities start destroying 21,000 Australian sheep that were rejected earlier this month by Bahrain.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has directed Sindh government to hold an inquiry into the import of a large number of infected sheep at Port Qasim, Karachi, and identify the persons responsible for this illegal act.

The prime minister said findings of the inquiry should be communicated to him within seven days.
