PIA plane returns after engine fault

KARACHI: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Wednesday had to recall its Jeddah-bound plane after a fire broke out in one of its engines. According to details, few minutes after takeoff, the pilot of Karachi-Jeddah PIA flight PK-735 informed the control tower about fault in engine number two of the plane. He switched off the affected engine and brought the flight back to Karachi airport for a safe landing. The aircraft had 465 passengers on board. Later, the flight departed after a mandatory examination and repair. End.
