Omar Ayub wins NA-19 seat in re-polling

30 January, 2014

HARIPUR: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Omar Ayub Khan has won the NA-19 seat by a margin of 414 votes during re-polling on seven polling stations on Wednesday.

The PML-N candidate secured 2,543 votes while his rival candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf Raja Amir Zaman got 2,155 votes, according to unofficial results announced. The re-polling was held on seven polling stations on the direction of Election Tribunal.

Earlier, PTI candidate Raja Amir Zaman was declared returned candidate from NA-19 Haripur in 2013 general elections, but on the appeal by the PML-N candidate, the Election Tribunal had directed re-polling on seven polling stations.

End.

What a fraud!

This is how the justice system works in Pakistan. Umer Ayoub, Gohar Ayoub, Anwer Saifullah, Captain Safdar Nawaz, Khaqan Abasi, Sad Rafique and Ayoub Arfidi all played a major roll in bankrolling and manipulating elections. Nawaz Sahreef invited 200 most influetential people from the 7 polling stations to PM house for lunch gaurantees in return for their support. Gas pipeline and electric transformers were promised and given as official bribes- unfortunate for Dr Amir, PTI local government did nothing, in fact PTI local MPAs (being from tareen family) supported PMLN.

A sad day in history if harupir politics where an honest man has been defrauded by the crooks. Interestingly, SpCt is still to decide on the decision of the ET on Feb 25th. PTI must put thier act together or if they leave their genuine candidates alone, next time the wont even manage 15 seats. The disconnect between Imran and his workers is growing. I am predicting Akber Kahn Tareen MPA from PTI will be among the first to defect when and if KP government is toppled.

The balls fairly paced in SpCt. Wherher they scumb to goverment pressure or render decision on merit citing precedents is yet to be see.
