Nilofar withdraws her resignation, resumes duty

ISLAMABAD: Federal minister for Tourism Nilofar Bakhtiyar has decided to withdraw her resignation following directives of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and Pakistan Muslim League president Ch Shujaat Hussain. She will resume her duties at her office from today (Thursday).

Reliable sources of Pakistan Muslim League on Wednesday told said scribe that the entire central executive committee of the party unanimously decided to endorse the resolution tabled in the meeting for rejection of Niolofar`s resignation. The resolution was tabled by Kabir Ali Wasti and foreign minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri. The party leaders demanded of the prime minister to intervene into the matter, reject Nilofar`s resignation and direct her to resume her duties.

The sources further told that party president Ch Shujaat Hussain and secretary general Mushahid Hussain Syed held a separate meeting with Nilofar Bakhtiyar and asked her to abstain from her decision. During the meting Ch Shujaat praised the services of Nilofar Bakhtiyar asking her to withdraw her resignation.

Following intervention of party leaders Nilofar Bakhtiyar has decided to take back her decision and resume her duties with Ministry of Tourism from today (Thursday).
