LAHORE: The appointment of Sardar Latif Khosa as a Governor Punjab has been challenged in Lahore High Court (LHC), our sources reported.
The petitioner is on the view that Khosa was removed from the office of Attorney General because of having corruption charges and the case in this regard is pending in Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) due to which under the article 62 and 63 of the constitution, Khosa is not eligible, asking the court to term his appointment as unconstitutional and illegal.
Justice Umar Atta Bandyal adjourned the hearing till January 19. Meanwhile, President of Lahore High Court Bar has also been called for assistance.
End.
