New COAS offers fateha at Yadgar-e-Shuhada

RAWALPINDI: General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Army Staff soon after his arrival at GHQ Monday visited Yadgar-e-Shuhada ,laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha.

According to ISPR Wreath laying was followed by a simple but impressive ceremony at the General Headquarters (GHQ) to formally welcome new COAS.

A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented guard of honour to COAS, who reviewed the parade.

On arrival at the GHQ, COAS was received by the Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmad. Later, Principal Staff Officers (PSOs) at GHQ met the new COAS.

General Raheel Sharif took over command, of Pakistan Army as 15th Chief of Army Staff, on Friday (29th November) at a ceremony held in Hockey Stadium at GHQ.
