Nawaz Sharif met Shehbaz Sharif
27 November, 2018
Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif Monday met his brother and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif here at the latter’s Minister’s Enclave residence, which has been declared a sub-jail by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The two brothers reportedly discussed prevailing political situation in the country as well as ongoing cases filed by NAB against them.
The PML-N president was taken to Islamabad earlier in the day to attend a session of the National Assembly as well as undergo medical treatment. The anti-graft watchdog had on Sunday approved PML-N supremo’s plea to meet his brother and Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly. The NAB had arrested Shehbaz Sharif on Oct 5 over alleged corruption in the Ashiana-i-Iqbal Housing Scheme from its Lahore office where he was summoned to record his statement in connection with the Punjab Saaf Pani Company case.
