NATO soldier dies

KABUL: A NATO soldier was killed in an ‘insurgent attack' in southern Afghanistan on Thursday (October 11), the US-led military coalition said. "An International Security Assistance Force service member died following an insurgent attack in southern Afghanistan today," an ISAF press release available with the Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) stated. "It is ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities," the press release added. End.
