ISLAMABAD, January 07 (Online): Interior Minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao after visiting National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) headquarters, presided over a high level meeting here Thursday, which was attended by Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and CEO's of all telecommunication companies.

Appreciating the role of NADRA, Sherpao said that it had been carrying out commendable technological task and other institutions of the country should follow it.

NADRA has come up with unique solution that caters wide array of users and administrators and it incorporates "our cutting edge technological research in Online verification system thus culminating chances of terrorist activities."

Briefing the Minister, Chairman NADRA Saleem Ahmad Moeen said that the problems relating to provision of fake credentials demanded high class security, check and accuracy in the data registration because without correct information no one can ensure genuine for citizens that's why NADRA's authentic database is being used.

He informed that 210 NADRA swift Registration Centres were working throughout the country and 29 more NRCs at tehsil levels have been approved by the Prime Minister.

He said that there would be no need to fill in the form by applicant because as soon as the CNIC will be swiped through the VERISYS machine the required information will automatically entered into spaces provided in the form.

Chairman NADRA also offered a fast track CNIC facility for applicants, who apply for mobile telephone connection.
