NA urges govt to resolve water issue with India

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly on Tuesday unanimously adopted a resolution urging the government to take immediate measures for resolving the issue of construction of dams by India on the waters of Pakistan.

Expressing their views on the resolution moved by Ms Belum Hasnain of Pakistan People's Party (PPP), the parliamentarians asked the Government to utilise all possible forums to stop Indian from construction of dams on the waters of Pakistan.

Minister for States and Frontier Regions (Safron) Lt Gen Abdul Qadir Baloch said water was the matter of life and death of the country.
