Sialkot: Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif has said that his hands were clean, in the Nandi Pur power project and he was ready to face any inquiry in this regard.

“Media reports about the Nandi Pur power project are against facts. Total cost of the project stood at Rs58 billion against a total cost of Rs88 billion which the media reported. My hands are clean and I will face all the charges in this regard,” he said, while addressing industrialists and traders here on Saturday.

The plant will be switched over to gas next year and it will generate 525 megawatts of electricity, he said. He said that a technology university will be inaugurated in Sialkot next year which will generate massive opportunities of employment for the people.
