Musharraf's name to remain on ECL: Kh. Asif

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that name of former President Pervez Musharraf will not be excluded from Exit Control List.
Talking to a private TV channel Asif brushed aside the rumours regarding a secret deal with f Pervez Musharraf and said that any secret deal with Pervez Musharraf is out of question. He said that the former president is being provided best medical facilities here.
Khwaja Asif categorically stated that Musharraf's name would not be removed from Exit Control List (ECL) at any cost.
He said that the government of Pakistan is a plaintiff in the treason case against Musharraf, adding that investigation should also be carried out over billions of rupees in the former ruler's bank accounts. He said that Musharraf has not respected the law in the past and he is not respecting law now.
He said Musharraf's case is in the court and he should contest the case.
There is no pressure from any country including Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates on the issue, he added.
