Musharraf approaches SHC for protective bail

KARACHI: Former president Pervez Musharaf on Thursday approached the Sindh High Court for obtaining pre-arrest bail in Akbar Bugti and former prime minister Benazir Bhutto murder cases.
Musharaf filed applications for pre-arrest bail through her daughter Ayla Raza submitting that her father was former Chief of Army Staff and former president of the country. She submitted that he wanted to return Pakistan and defend cases pending against him before the trial courts therefore pre-arrest bail be granted to him so that he could surrender before the trial court.
The applications are likely to be heard on Friday.
