LAHORE: A nurse and wife of a police constable killed her four children by injecting poison into their bodies before attempting to commit suicide.

According to details, Munazza, mother of four, telephoned her husband, Riazuddin, this morning at 7:00 AM telling him that she had administered poison filled injections to all the children as well as herself and finally escaping from him and his family for good.

Riazuddin, a constable in flying squad in Qurban Lines, rushed to his house where he found his wife and children lying unconscious. He immediately took them to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced four of his children dead while Munazza, who is in a critical condition, is being treated in the facility’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The young children who lost their lives are: Umaiza (daughter), aged 9; Aiza (daughter), 7; Anza (daughter), 4 and; three years old Noman (son). Their bodies have shifted to Jinnah Hospital for post-mortem.
