Most militants abandoned their baseless war: Balochistan Governor

QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Mohammad Khan Achakzai has said most of militants had abandoned their baseless war.

Speaking at a Pakistan Day ceremony in Quetta on Wednesday, the governor said that Operation Zarb-e-Azb has helped curb terrorism in the country. . He advised the remaining militant groups to surrender their arms and join the mainstream politics. He said that millions of people rendered sacrifices for the creation of Pakistan and “we are enjoying this beautiful day because of their sacrifices”.

The governor said the sun of peace and development had risen and several development projects were underway in the province that would bring prosperity in the lives of people after completion. He said, “We want to live peacefully with our neighbours and want to improve our trade with them.”
