Mobile services to remain suspended on Eid Milad-un-Nabi

ISLAMABAD: Like on all other major events in Pakistan, mobile services are likely to be suspended on 12th Rabi ul Awal in Karachi and other cities and towns across the country, media quoting sources reported on Thursday.

Law enforcement agencies have warned possible attack in various areas including Karachi on occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), sources said.

After threats, it has been decided to suspend mobile services in the several cities and towns.

Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, KPK governments will make a formal request about suspension of mobile services on 12th of Rabi ul Awal from 7am to 11 pm to Federal government, sources added.

Federal government will approve the request as the final decision has already been taken to suspend mobile services to avoid any unwanted situation.
