Mobile phones and children
30 October, 2012
Advances in technology have revolutionised the world. Gadgets that were only imagined previously are now available for purchase, ready to be bought at the click of one's fingers. The mobile phone is one such product, available in different types in all price ranges, increasing their usage in society. For adults, this is acceptable but for children it is a waste of time and money distracting them from acquiring an education. Moreover, the use of mobile phones has introduced new ways for children to cheat during their examinations. Although mobile phones have been banned in many schools, children still do not hesitate to bring them to their place of learning. When a child is in school, it is their duty to make sure they put education and the attainment of knowledge before all else. I urge school administrations to completely ban and confiscate mobile phones on school property so that children learn to act their age. RAAKIA RIZVI
