ISLAMABAD: Memo commission Secretary Jawad Hassan left for London on Sunday in order to record the statement of the central character of the memo scandal, Mansoor Ijaz, through a video-link.

Ijaz will record his statement on February 22 at the Pakistan High Commission in London. The secretary has been sent to collect important and confidential proofs from him. Zahid Bukhari, the consul for former ambassador to the US Husain Haqqani, also submitted a request to acquire the British visa.

Earlier, in a meeting of the memo commission at the Islamabad High Court (IHC), it was decided that Ijaz's statement would be recorded at the Pakistani High Commission in London through video-link.

End.
