Many countries show interest to help in energy sector: Asif

NEW YORK: Federal Minister for Water and Power‚ Khawaja Asif has said that many countries including Turkey‚ Denmark‚ America etc had shown interest to cooperate in energy sector with Pakistan.
Talking to a private TV channel‚ he reminded that Prime Minister‚ Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had emphasized on trade rather than aid during meeting with different heads of states.
Asif added that Pakistani premier forcefully reminded the United Nations (UN) to play its vital role to resolve Kashmir dispute in accordance with resolution of 1948.
The minister said that government was taking serious steps for keeping peace in the region‚ adding that dialogue offer to the Taliban should not be considered as weakness of the government.
Khawaja Asif mentioned that maintaining peace in the country was top priority of the government.
He reiterated that Prime Minister‚ Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was committed to develop friendly relations with the neighbouring countries.
