DADU: Siraj Talpur, the main accused in the Shahzeb murder case, was arrested during a police raid in interior Sindh, officials said on Saturday. According to police, Siraj Talpur along his brother Sajjad Talpur were arrested during a raid in Dadu on Saturday afternoon. Dadu SSP Muhammad Tariq confirmed the arrests, saying preliminary investigations were conducted in Dadu. The accused would be shifted to Karachi to appear before court. Meanwhile, an FIA source said that the documents taken from Shahrukh Jatoi's father pertaining to Shahrukh's travel have revealed that he is still in Pakistan. According to the source, the documents claiming he had gone to the UAE were fake. Shahrukh Jatoi, another prime suspect in Shahzeb Khan's murder had, according to earlier reports, fled to the UAE on December 27. The Supreme Court hearing a suo motu case of Shahzeb murder, on Friday ordered Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari to arrest the killers of Shahzeb in 24 hours or else he would lose his job. The killing mobilised hundreds of people against unquestioned authority that people with political connections enjoy in the country and gathered outside Karachi Press Club carrying banners and requesting the chief justice of Pakistan to take suo moto action. The incident has received international attention with activists protesting outside Pakistan High Commission in London on Thursday and demanding justice for Shahzeb. End.
