MWM rejects idea to talk with Taliban

04 February, 2014

KARACHI: Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM) on Monday demanded of the government to immediately arrest culprits involved in the target killing of three local bodies candidates of MWM and other Shias.

Addressing the Chehlum Programme of martyred workers at Abbas Alamdar Mosque Gulistan-e-Johar, MWM Central Deputy Secretary General Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi, Senior Shia Cleric Maulana Mirza Yousuf Hussain and Maulana Ejaz Behishti said that the PPP led Sindh government had failed to protect citizens from terrorists. They said that the rising incidents of target killing have raised the question on the capability of Sindh government, police and Rangers.

They demanded immediate arrest of the killers of MWM leader Maulana Didar Ali Jalbani, MWM slain candidates and Shias, adding that outlawed organisations were operating freely.

They rejected talks with notorious Taliban terrorists, and said "Taliban are holding talks with Taliban".

They said that PML-N was toeing the line of US and Saudi monarchy who want Taliban as their proxy, like they did in the past.

They said clean-shaved Taliban have also been exposed. They said that Taliban were followers of Umayyad ruler Yazid. They said that the PML-N government was trying to impose Yazidiat in the name of talks with the TTP. They said that heirs of the martyrs declare that appeasing the terrorists was tantamount to betraying the martyrs.

Allama Hassan Zafar said that the negotiations with Taliban terrorists are against the teachings of Islam, adding that the government has been providing more time to TTP to reorganise its structure. He said that the families of martyrs and Shia - Sunni communities have rejected the government initiative to 'talk with TTP'.

PML-N has imposed the policies of Zia ideology via Taliban, they said, adding that it's a conspiracy to enforce 'Yazeedi Shariah' in Pakistan. He claimed that all the patriotic forces of the country are united to protect Pakistan from the Taliban.
